Personal Logo

This logo combines lettermark and symbolic elements to represent what I am and how I exist. The two parallel fish are so close, yet they never touch, reflecting the idea that we are all versions of each other in different lives, existing in parallel. The layers reflect thoughts in motion and, introspective, expressive, perceptive, and inventive nature. The navy greens, maroon blues, and almost unreal yellow-green create depth and meaning. Green symbolizes the relentless moss, and waving seagrasses. Navy recalls the ocean, liminal music album covers, and the trenches. Yellow brings light and energy. The light comes from the bottom up to show that even in the trenches, there is always brightness. I used Gaussian blur to highlight light and grain to show grit. Life is not smooth, and the bumps and texture are what make it personal and unique, just as the grain gives the logo personality. I built my logo in Illustrator using shape-building, direct selection, and anchor points, adding effects to create dimension. Each piece, color, texture, shape, and light effect was chosen to feel exactly like me and layered while inviting viewers to notice the nuances, question everything, and reflect.
